Vox Clamantis in Deserto has been a personal motto of mine for a long, long time. Vox Clamantis in Deserto is the official motto of Dartmouth College. It is also the title of an Edward Abbey book that has been hugely influential in my life. Embrace the VOX.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

I love signs that are iconic of a place and location. I particularly like signs that hover over residents and signal “you are here.” This sign for Dickey’s Barbeque Pit hovers over the daily lives of the residents in Dallas, Texas. When I’m in Dallas, I LOVE seeing this sign.
